For RTGS Transfer, Both the sending Branch and Beneficiary Account Branch need to be RTGS enabled. Currently, in India, More than 140000 Branches are RTGS Enabled.
OBC RTGS Timings – The RTGS Timings may Vary Bank to Bank, However, the RTGS Service window for Customer is from 7 am to 6 pm on a working day. On Saturdays and Sundays, the RTGS Service is Not Available.
OBC RTGS Limit – RTGS service is Primarily Meant for Large Value transactions. The Minimum amount and Account Holder can transfer through RTGS is 2 Lakh Rupees. There is No upper or Maximum Limit on RTGS.
Charges – For every RTGS Transfer the Customer Needs to Pay Nominal Fees. For transactions Between 2 lakh to 5 Lakh INR, the Account Holder Needs to Pay ₹ 24.50/-;(exclusive of tax, if any). Transactions Above 5 Lakh INR you have to Pay ₹ 49.50/-. (exclusive of tax, if any). Your Bank can Charge a Lower Rate but they can Not charge You More than the rates prescribed by RBI.
